EFT Tapping has been gaining in popularity lately. And for good reason…

Let’s talk EFT tapping.

Have you ever felt stuck, like you’re unable to move forward despite your best efforts?
Do emotions like anxiety, fear or self-doubt hold you back from achieving your goals and living your truth?

You’re not alone. As women, we often struggle with subconscious patterns and emotional blockages that hinder our personal growth. We become overwhelmed, and we overthink. It stops us from taking the right action to reach our goals.

Fortunately, there’s a powerful tool that can help: EFT tapping.

What is EFT Tapping?

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) tapping is a mind-body technique that combines gentle tapping on specific meridian points with mindful awareness. These meridian points are the same ones used in traditional Chinese medicine for acupuncture, but instead of needles, EFT uses gentle tapping while focusing on emotional issues or limiting beliefs. Developed by Gary Craig, EFT is based on the concept that the body’s energy system plays a crucial role in our emotional and physical well-being.

By tapping on these points, we can release blockages in the energy flow, calm the nervous system, and rewire our brain’s response to stressful stimuli.

How Does EFT Tapping Work?

When we experience traumatic or stressful events, our body stores the emotional charge in our energy system. This can lead to patterns of negative thinking, emotional reactivity and self-limiting beliefs. EFT tapping helps to:

    1. Identify and acknowledge the emotional issue/trigger–It helps you identify the root cause of your block and allows your subconscious issue to be brought to the surface.
    2. Release the emotional charge associated with the issue–EFT tapping helps you release the emotions attached to the trigger.
    3. Rebalance the body’s energy system–Once you release the emotions attached to the trigger/block, you’re able to make space for your new beliefs.
    4. Reprogram the brain with positive, empowering beliefs

    Why Do We Get Stuck?

Feeling stuck often comes from deep-seated emotional blocks or limiting beliefs that we’ve carried for years. These beliefs may have been formed in childhood, during traumatic experiences or as a result of repeated failures or disappointments. Women, especially, carry around limiting beliefs from years of societal expectations.

Over time, they create a sense of internal resistance to change. This resistance manifests as procrastination, self-sabotage and fear of taking action, even when you know that change is necessary.

EFT allows you to address this resistance by:

    • Acknowledging the emotions or beliefs causing the block
    • Releasing the emotional charge attached to these beliefs
    • Reprogramming your mind to replace limiting beliefs with empowering ones

Benefits of EFT Tapping for Emotional Release:

    1. Reduces stress and anxiety: EFT tapping calms the nervous system, promoting relaxation and calm.
    2. Releases emotional trauma: By addressing the root cause of emotional pain, EFT tapping helps release traumatic experiences.
    3. Improves self-awareness: Tapping increases awareness of thoughts, emotions and patterns, empowering you to make conscious choices.
    4. Enhances self-acceptance: EFT fosters self-compassion, self-love and acceptance.
    5. Boosts confidence: By releasing self-limiting beliefs, EFT tapping helps you tap into your inner strength and potential.

How to Use EFT to Get Unstuck:

Here’s a simple process to use EFT for getting unstuck:

    1. Identify the Feeling: Think about the area in your life where you feel stuck. Focus on the emotion or belief that’s causing this block.
    2. Rate the Intensity: On a scale from 1-10, rate how intense this feeling or belief is. This will help you track your progress.
    3. Choose your setup phrase: Phrase your issue as a statement, beginning with “Even though [issue], I deeply and completely accept myself.”
    4. Start Tapping: Begin tapping on the meridian points, starting with the side of your hand (karate chop point), while repeating a setup phrase like, “Even though I feel stuck and afraid, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
    5. Move Through the Points: Tap on the other points; use a shortened version of your setup statement while tapping.
    6. Check-In: After a few rounds of tapping, pause and check in with yourself. Has the intensity of the emotion decreased? If so, continue tapping while introducing positive affirmations such as, “I’m capable of moving forward” or “I am ready to release what no longer serves me.”

If you’ve been feeling stuck, EFT tapping is a powerful tool for releasing the emotional and mental blocks holding you back. By tapping into the mind-body connection and addressing underlying emotions, you can clear the path for growth, transformation and alignment with your highest self.

By incorporating this technique into your routine, you’ll be better equipped to manage stress, overcome subconscious patterns, and live a more authentic, empowered life. Remember, you deserve to break free from expectations and unleash your true potential.
