THE STORY

Meet Meagan

flowers make my heart sing; sunshine coaxes me out of bed in the morning; the deep blue ocean is my happy place; hosting a dinner party with close friends and family is my jam. I believe life is made for love and adventures.

Hi! I’m Meagan

I’m a mama & navy-wife living on the beautiful coast of Vancouver Island with our golden retriever pup finding joy, reconnecting with my wild-soul, and cultivating abundance.

Currently serving clients as a Wedding Florist and also as a Certified Mindset Coach (and in hypnotherapy, EFT tapping, Neural Energetic Encoding, Neural Energetic Wiring, and in Holistic Nutrition.

I met my Navy husband in 2016 while he was on a posting in my hometown of Niagara. By the end of 2018, we were married and had moved across the country to Victoria. With that, I uprooted my almost 7-year-old wedding planning & floral business and haven’t looked back.

I do a lot of things and instead of trying to navigate life inside the box, I built a brand around my passion for living a slow, intentional, sustainable and abundant life.

In 2020, I made the decision to remove wedding planning from my services. I wanted more time to spend with my daughter and with the Pandemic, it was becoming clear what my passions were. I focused on building community, making authentic connections and creating a space of our own.

To take you back a decade and a bit… I thought I was going to become a pastry chef, I even earned a scholarship. My dream in high school was to design beautiful wedding cakes. After working in a bakery for a full-day co-op program, I quickly realized it was better to leave it as a hobby rather than turn it into a career.

I ended up getting a diploma in Business and then moved into becoming a certified hair and makeup artist. I started my first business in the wedding industry when I was just 19 years old!

From there I moved into my planning business and I guess the rest as they say, is history.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Do you have a minimum?

A: We do have a minimum for full-scale florals but it changes based on the time of the year and how far out you are booking.

We do not require a certain amount spent for bouquet-only services.

Q: May I see samples of your work?

A: Of course! You can take a peek above my clicking on the gallery links. They are sorted into bouquets, centerpieces and installations. I only update these galleries about once or twice a year, so for our most recent work, please follow along on Instagram

Q: Are there any additional fees?

A: Yes, we charge a delivery and set-up fee, if required.

We also charge a travel fee for weddings outside of the Victoria- Nanaimo range, based on mileage, ferry fees, hotel stays, etc.

*Weddings in Tofino, the Gulf Islands, Vancouver, or Northern VI will require a 2-night hotel stay to be covered to ensure we’re able to smoothly arrive at your destination the day before the wedding and provide set up and tear down on the day of your wedding.  There’s also an allotted budget for meals added to the fees.

Please note, if you’re getting married in these areas but do not have in your budget for delivery and set up, you may utilize our pick-up service so you can bring your flowers with you.

Q: How far in advance should we book our wedding flowers?

A: I can’t speak for other florists, but I only take on 2-3 full-scale weddings per month, and only 1 per weekend, so my dates book up quickly. They are booked based on first come, first serve, with bookings complete when the agreement and initial payment has been sent.

Q: How does pricing work?

A: Some things like bouquets and boutonnieres are a flat fee that don’t change, while other things like custom installations are based entirely on your vision and budget.

I strive to be flexible to always get you the best value for the desired look, as close to your budget as possible.

Q: Where are you located and what areas do you serve?

A: I’m currently located in the Cowichan Valley, making it an ideal location to travel both directions of the island, and close to the ferries for access to Vancouver and the Gulf Islands.

I serve all of Vancouver Island,  The Gulf Islands, Denman, and Vancouver. Want to hire me outside of these regions? Let’s chat.

Q: How do we reserve our date?

A:
1. Fill out the form above.
2. I’ll confirm availability
3. Then send you a proposal
4. Once you approve it, I’ll send you the agreement to be signed, and an invoice to pay the initial payment.
5. Once step 4 is complete, you’re all set!

Q: I think a floral designer might be completely our of our budget, do you offer any services to help us DIY our wedding?

A: Yes! I completely understand wanting one thing but only being able to afford an alternative option.

That’s why I’ve put all of my knowledge as a florist into an online course that teaches couples how to DIY their wedding flowers start to finish. I teach about how to order your flowers, the types of flowers you’ll want to include, how to process and store them for the best lifespan, how to design every type of arrangement you could need, and how to transport them.
